Critical illness cover

Critical Illness cover is designed to financially support you in your time of need. It is a form of insurance which pays out a tax-free lump sum in the event that you are diagnosed with a specified illness or medical condition detailed on the policy for the term of the policy. It is completely up to you what you spend the money on whether it be to pay off debts, support yourself financially while you are unable to work, pay part or all of your mortgage off or adapt your house to better suit your needs following your recovery.

Many insurers also offer children’s Critical Illness cover at no extra charge, though the pay-out is usually limited to between £10,000 and £25,000.
